Network drivers corrupted – unable to update / install network drivers
Sometimes the network drivers get corrupted and we cannot update or install again. It shows a yellow exclamation in device manager. You cannot see any networks in Network Connections.

Even if you uninstall the device and try to install again, it will not accept and throw the same error. Here is a solution for installing the driver again.
Go to Device Manager and uninstall the driver (Here it is Intel® Pro/1000 MT Network Connection). Right and select Uninstall.
Open Registry Editor and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and search for “UpperFilters”.
You may find something like HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Delete UpperFilters.
Now go to Device Manager again and refresh. You will find that the network driver is installed and you can see Network in Network Connections.
Assign IP manually if the server was configured with a manual IP. You can try this method for other devices as well.
*** Always take a backup of the registry before editing.
